Do we need them? It depends.
Three buckets for typical usage:
Maintenance due to:
Food supply, genetics, lifestyle
Therapeutic due to:
Needing to get out of the gutter, extra boost back to normalcy, help optimize current health status
Rapid relief due to:
Getting out of pain // discomfort quickly. Example: Support sleep or digestive system (constipation, gas, etc…)
Top nutrient deficiencies I see:
Zinc (Oysters, pumpkin seeds, eggs)
Omega-3 (Salmon, walnuts, chia seeds, flax seeds)
Magnesium (Dark leafy greens, almonds, broccoli)
Quality + brands are important! Better for you to take nothing than cheap Costco brands.
