4 Signs Your Gut is MAD

4 Signs Your Gut is MAD

  1. You have acne and/or your skin is dry or oily

Recommendation:

  • What you eat, digest & absorb is reflected through your gut

  • Eat More: Hydrating foods like: cucumbers, bone broth (see discount code below), and watermelon

  • Eat Less: Dairy, gluten, processed foods (I found out peanut butter was causing acne for me… LAME, I know.)

2. You have gas, bloating, heartburn, diarrhea, and/or constipation

Recommendation:

  • This is a CLEAR sign. However, many of us live as if it is normal to have gas and bloating daily. And although it is COMMON, it is NOT normal.

  • Eat More: Slowly, chew your food. This reduces load on gut and will reduce heartburn, gas, bloating

  • Eat Less: When you are busy! Eating sitting down, screen-free, relaxed is OPTIMAL for digestion to signal throughout body in order to reduce digestive discomfort. However, if it is not always possible, what meals are easiest to control?

3. You are cranky

Recommendation:

  • 90%+ serotonin and 50%+ dopamine is released in our gut. So low serotonin = low mood. How can you support your happiness?

  • Eat More: Fiber like beans, cooked cruciferous vegetables, and root veggies like carrots, beets, and parsnips

  • Eat Less: Inflammatory foods like sugar, gluten, and non-organic veggies

    • See below for anti-inflammatory foods

4. You’re TIRED

Recommendation:

  • If your gut is not filtering out toxins well, the toxins will linger, causing the body to slow down

  • Eat More: That support detox like foods high in B6 &B12 (turkey, chicken, fish), green leafy veggies, and ginger

  • Eat Less: You guessed it! Dairy, gluten, processed foods
